چکیده

Abstract The fundamental vacuum state of quantum fields, related to Minkowski space, produces divergent fluctuations that must be suppressed in order bring reality the description physical systems. As a consequence, negative expectation values classically positive-defined quantities can appear. This has been addressed literature as subvacuum phenomenon. Here it is investigated how scalar charged test particle affected by massive field D + 1 spacetime when background evolves from empty space thermal bath, and also perfectly reflecting boundary included. It shown brought into bath gains an amount energy means positive dispersions its velocity components. magnitude this effect dependent on temperature mass. However, wall inserted, or negative, showing happens even finite environment. Furthermore, remarkable result improve fluctuations. residual effects depends switching interval time system takes evolve between two states.

Probing nonequilibrium fluctuations through linear response.

Linear response analysis in the nonequilibrium steady state (Gaussian regime) provides two independent fluctuation-response relations. One, in the form of the symmetric matrix, manifests the departure from the equilibrium formula through the quantity so-called irreversible circulation. The other, in the antisymmetric form, connects the asymmetries in the fluctuation and the response function. T...

Propagating Particles through Inhomogeneous Scalar Fields

We present a numerical integration scheme for the propagation of particles/rays within continuous, inhomogeneous media, represented as discrete scalar fields. Our method aims at the calculation of energy distribution, where the initial energy is evenly distributed over a large number of particles, which are traced through the medium. While traversing the particles interact with the medium by me...

Probing the Epoch of Early Baryonic Infall Through 21cm Fluctuations

After cosmological recombination, the primordial hydrogen gas decoupled from the cosmic microwave background (CMB) and fell into the gravitational potential wells of the dark matter. The neutral hydrogen imprinted acoustic oscillations on the pattern of brightness fluctuations due to its redshifted 21cm absorption of the CMB. Unlike CMB temperature fluctuations which probe the power spectrum at...

The Unruh thermal spectrum through scalar and fermion tunneling

The thermal spectrum seen by accelerated observers in Minkowski space – known as the Unruh effect – is derived within the tunneling mechanism. Both Bose-Einstein and Fermi-Dirac spectrum is derived by considering tunneling of scalar and spin half particles respectively, across the accelerated Rindler horizon. Full solutions of Klein-Gordon and Dirac equations in the Rindler metric are employed ...

Nanoscale thermal probing

Nanoscale novel devices have raised the demand for nanoscale thermal characterization that is critical for evaluating the device performance and durability. Achieving nanoscale spatial resolution and high accuracy in temperature measurement is very challenging due to the limitation of measurement pathways. In this review, we discuss four methodologies currently developed in nanoscale surface im...
